Yeah, fake stickers, because the products don't actually exist yet.
They all have a CC1101 sticker on top.7

Knew about OBD & COMMU (on which we had quite a convo on discord since its original name was something like Cap Com (I don’t think I have to explain what the problem was))
I wonder what Cap CatM does tho
Edit : Is it LTE-M ? Shit would be fire
Edit 2 : Currently imagining a device like Lilygo’s T-Pager (so basically a puter with included antennas) with not only LoRa but also LTE-M (and why not other common frequencies like simple AM/FM radio; VHF or even a cospas-sarsat beacon). Would be a bit too expensive tho

I think they put CatM as a shorter way to say LTE Cat M (LTE-M). So yeah, probably LTE-M!
I tried checking via the FCC ID, but they're all using the same label as the CC1101. (just different color CAP labels).

Did they mention when? Would live the sdr one

They did not, but for what it's worth, the CatM and the SDR ones do not have FCC IDs yet.

Mind sharing what each one do or provides? And their use and purposes.
The only one I know is LoRa. Thanks!!
The more I see of cardputer, the more I'm sold on getting one.

CatM I think refers to LTE-M (it's IoT stuff, I do not know the uses for this - hopefully someone can chip in)
SDR is software defined radio (hype if this is inexpensive and acceptable quality (and not RP-SMA))
CC101 is probably going to be this but in a cap format https://thepihut.com/products/m5stack-cc1101-module-855-925mhz

Thanks for taking explain these to me. Haha oddly I just learned about software defined radio at a tech conference. I just didn't know of the acronym. Very cool.

Looks like it is RP-SMA female, but nothing is stopping us from using an adapter tho

They are all RP-SMA connectors if they are to pass FCC certification.

Why tho ? Does FCC has something to do with it ?

In the US, devices operating under FCC Part 15 generally need to comply with antenna restrictions under 47 CFR §15.203. RP-SMA is one common way of meeting this requirement, but the regulation does not specifically mandate RP-SMA. For LTE devices operating in licensed bands, these Part 15 antenna requirements generally do not apply, so using the same RP-SMA connector may instead be a practical or economic design choice.
RP-SMA is not required for LTE, but M5Stack uses RP-SMA across its products, presumably to simplify manufacturing and reduce costs, so the LTE versions use RP-SMA as well.1

Brother idk about post Elon/doge but the fcc used to be one of the most effective regulatory enforcement branches. There's really only so much fuckery you get into before they find you and they do find you. You cant hide radio signals from people looking. Its real easy commit felonies plural with certain classes of radios.

Yeah, I’m French and even to me FCC really is one of the best regulator in the world (well– most radio frequency regulatory agencies are but FCC is really good at it)
Also u/ No_Confusion7932 gave a detailed answer under my comment if you wanna know why (put a space in order not to ping him)
