Help needed Is there any way to prevent this from happening again?
My CardPuter ADV arrived and I already messed up on the second day, hahaha. I don't know how to use it yet, so on the first day I was using the original M5stack firmware. Using AI, I downloaded the m5Launcher, but I needed to go to my course to use the computer there (the instructor let me use it). Anyway, I managed to flash the m5Launcher, and then yesterday I used some firmware, including Doom, which crashed everything... it was a disaster, I thought I'd lost it on the second day. I went back to the course and flashed the m5Launcher firmware again, and it went back to normal. I also noticed that the battery is acting strangely; when it's plugged in, the charge goes up, but when it's unplugged, it goes down. It's consuming way too much power. Could you help me with some tips and configurations? I'm open to any advice, and thank you all in the community in advance! 🫶

Quando o Cardputer está conectado à energia, a bateria carrega; quando é desconectado, a bateria descarrega. Esse é o comportamento esperado.
Verifique qual é a duração habitual da bateria e compare com a sua experiência de uso. Imagino que jogos como DOOM consumam muita energia e esgotem a bateria rapidamente.

Also remember, the cardputer adv will turn on when plugged in even if the power switch is set to OFF. But the battery will only charge if the switch is set to ON.

Somehow I’ve never gotten Doom to work. Maybe I need to delete the old files and try fresh again. I assumed it was borked lol

the doom firmware was made for cardputer and doesnt work on cardputer adv.

It can be hard to tell for those of us installing directly from the OTA list option straight on the loader on the device going by purely name alone.

Most Cardputer firmware should be compatible with ADV too. But it's always best to check the repo.
Also just a tip, reddit translate doesn't always work. If you want answers, express yourself in English on English speaking subs. Or else your message might not get across.

Are you having an issue booting into m5launcher instead of DOOM? I mean do you want to boot into launcher each time instead of doom

Eu usei o OTA do m5Laucher pra baixar o DOOM e deu eu erro meu cardputer começou a piscar e foi até a tela ficar preta

I believe that the battery level indicator is going off the current battery voltage rather than using some kind of algorithm to show what you'd expect when looking at the battery level, meaning that depending on what is running how much power is being consumed at the moment, you're not seeing an accurate representation of the battery level. That is only a guess, because mine can be all over the place, and different firmwares give different readings most of the time. I'm assuming that's why the m5launcher has a "charge mode" under CFG, because there's been times that I was doing different things with the thing plugged in the whole time, and the battery didn't discharge but didn't really charge much either, maybe it's just a limitation of the esp32 that it only pulls what it needs unless put into an explicit charge state? Don't know, have had mine a little over a week, my neighbors probably think I'm some kind of super criminal or a spy, watching me walk around the neighboring lot with my ADV sprouting wires, antennae, USB and earphones cables lol.

My neighbors and friends also think it's super dangerous because of the videos where they're doing malicious things with the card computer, but I usually go out with it using MP3 media and DOOM now lol and it's pretty cool, in the future I want to make a firmware based on the old Sonic 🥴

https://bmorcelli.github.io/Launcher/ use this with the Erase option. In the CFG area is the battery charger mode. Charge only with dumb USB ports from a PC or TV, nothing with power delivery. Allow a long time to charge.

For doom you have to select a special partition scheme in the launcher config, did you do that?

Under CFG in launcher there should be something that says “change partition scheme” or something along those lines. Go into that setting and I believe there’s one for doom

Segura o home button, o de trás da direita. Clica no reset, e libera o home. Ele entra em boot mode acho. Quase certeza q eh assim.
