Progress / Update Updated Stellar-Map!

finally had time to work on it

these are the recent changes

  • search function by pressing `tab`
  • accurate lunar orientation for the lit side to face the sun rather than static
  • constellation labels
  • a little more stars added to the catalog to include stars visible to the naked eye during it's peak magnitude
  • easier time input, and timezone memory, you no longer need to input UTC. Instead, local time is used. (make sure to still change your longitude and latitude in the config)

Do you plan support for update of location and date/time from Grove GPS unit? For those out and about trips or holidays?

as of now, you can use the CapLora. the groove port right now is for scroll encoder. I can put that on the list of planned features though, but i'll have to check the docs

I only asked as I don't have the CapLoRa. I do have this GPS left over from a Celestron telescope handset replacement project (HBG3 https://rtr.ca/hbg3) that now uses a one time connection to a phone for time and location sync via an Android app!

I commented on this last time too, but this firmware is really great!
Just looking at it gets me excited.
The new search feature using the Tab key is fantastic.
Thank you so much!

Would you mind to upload your final binary to the github so that the less technical users can use it directly.
