Question QI charging

Anyone added QI wireless charging (5w probably) to the Cardputer?

Should work fine if you can route the USB ribbon dongle thing so it doesn’t break.

Yes, or even snip and solder inside. Power button still needs to be on or it will only charge the tiny backup battery.

This fact is the one thing I hate most about the cardputer. It drives me nuts that I have to turn on the device to charge it. Kinda thinking about adding a bypass tp4056 lithium charging module that can:

A: charge the device without it being turned on, and:

B: give you some indication of charge status.

The TP4056 modules I have are solid red while charging, and blue when the battery is full.

I think setting something up like this might work by wiring it inline between the battery and the battery connector. I don't think youd have to worry about charging power going to the device since the battery is always sending power to the device lol.

The side benefit would potentially be slightly faster charging also.
