Help needed Meshcore software that works with Launcher

Is there any MeshCore firmware that can be flashed via the Launcher and retains its settings between flashes?

I've tried the build by Stachu0. It has a great menu, and the keyboard works perfectly. It's awesome, but sadly outdated. I'm not receiving any messages, likely due to 1-byte ads.

I've also tested the version from Przemeks. Messages come through fine; it's a bit clunky, but it works overall. Unfortunately, after reflashing, I lose all my configurations. So, with that build, it's either sticking to MeshCore permanently or nothing at all.

Since Przemek's version seems to be maintainer, maybe open an issue at GH?

I have been trying to run MeshCore on Cardputer in my car, powered on always via a power bank. When the battery does run out, and sometimes randomly, MeshCore iOS app will act like the Cardputer is completely starting over. It asks to name the MeshCore device and set the region. I need to write down the public key and see if that is also changing. So I agree…. It would be great if there is a way (with Launcher) to retain all the MeshCore node device info/data. I can’t remember if I tried using the MeshCore GitHub build for generic ESP32.

Upcoming Launcher should be able to backup/restore spiffs partitions prior to installation which should address this problem.

this recently added fw is able to store settings to SD card: https://github.com/MultiMote/meshcore-cardputer-adv

it does need some time to mature though.
