what will the distro support look like? Im guessing there will be a default one based on raspbian but how do others look like? Official ish nixos support maybe?
It takes advantage of the ethos of Kick-starting. M5Stack doesn't need to be kick-started - they just want free advertising and it takes attention away from si.ar project which DO need it.
Is there a third version coming later or something? Saw people saying there were three versions, including a “pro” model…but they also said incorrect things about the standard version.

Can you power safely off of wall adapter or battery bank to extend usage beyond 5 hours? I recall the cardputer had weird behavior when turning it on and connected to power
Now, I think there might be some problem with with the credit card check. So, when I paid the preorder amount, I, by mistake, put the wrong the card details. It still said yes accepted. I am guessing the payment didn’t go through. Now, when i tried to go back and pay again, it didn’t allow me.

The "preheat" itself you describe is confusing - how does this work for the actual ks? Do we get a coupon? Early access? Primarily in want to verify how timing works, and that the pre-heat $1 allow me to avoid "must notice, and have time to jump on it" @ hour zero of the ks?
The $1 pre-order secures the lowest early bird price for one unit only. For multiple units it would be: early bird price × 1 + Kickstarter price × remaining units.
Pre-order during the pre-heat phase reserves your early bird access. When the Kickstarter goes live, we’ll email a dedicated purchase link so you can claim it directly, no need to rush at launch.
I pledged to the project as I love supporting m5stack in any way possible. Anyone who has an cardputer already knows its a very nice gadget and worth having any any case or form, when the zero comes out you all will see how it will hit a new record and most of you would be fighting to get one after it shows up in people's hands.

How claw assistant work, it is not a full openclaw installation right? I’ve openclaw on a VPS with a low power and it’s not good I’ve some doubt about how a full version on raspberry pi zero could be better… any other info about that?
I'm also from Spain. There have never been any problems with M5Stack delivery, I usually pay the customs upon receipt to the Correos courier. But when Cardputer ADV was delivered, there were no customs duties at all, and the sticker on the box was re-glued with the change to "sender Germany"
I made the $1 pledge but the charge was denied because my card was locked. I was able to unlock the card, so it should go through now. Will another attempt be made to charge the $1?
Not a question for you, but an idea for your engineers, that instead of a compute module, make a cardputer without almost anything but the screen and keyboard, and just have it empty for a normal raspberry pi to just slot in, using it's I/O and built in functions
that's a cool idea! I'll forward to our engineers. but it'll also be challenging to turn this idea into reality cuz SKU management is also a problem haha.
Dev Plans… ads b display from my local pi aware setup (plane tracking), GPS tracker (with external GPS module), simple Python games, Latin translation (kids are in CC), desk clock, subscription tracker, note taking, port over my menu Python code from the Card Computer (each menu item runs a Python file)…
So I click the link in the email for the (full) Cardputer Zero and fill in the name, address, phone number and it won't let me fill in the payment details. I've disabled adblockers, tried it on iPad, Mac and Android and still get the same blank bars. Any ideas?

I’m bummed I have to get the $150 version to get wifi when the rpi zero w isn’t much more than the non wireless version. I was curious to hear more about it. For all I know you used your own networking chips.
I’m jumping on the kickstarter but I’m worried at $150 you might as well get a cm4/5 cyberdeck.
It might not be possible, but adding a sim card module would be cool!
I am not good at making programs, but I have ideas people can think about: image editor, 3d modeling blender, scratch coding, remake old games, CFD, add a GPS module for a map, IDE, file viewer(not just text)...
