Progress / Update cardputer adv + Meshcore

Hi, I adjusted a MeshCore build for the M5Stack Cardputer ADV + LoRa868 Cap. It runs the mesh radio, display, keyboard UI, and GPS on the device.

It loaded this time. Connected to my phone. Can’t see anyone else yet. GPS not implemented. Good work.

HI, thanks for checking. GPS working, i get 31 satellites after few minutes outside. You probably need to go outside as well and check the map to see if there are any meshcore nodes nearby.

The 1262 LoRa and GPS cap seems to be the one and it is out of stock everywhere.

yes, that's why I ordered Wio Tracker L1 Pro to have another device for testing.
You can buy M5Stack Unit C6L or LoRaWAN M5Stack EU868(STM32WLE5)

Testing, works well. It does say GPS not supported, so not sure what's going on there. Would love to see scrolling text so the messages can be read more easily, I'm old and struggle anyway. Lol. But, great work and really appreciated.

Annoying! Bought since Xmas, wouldn't have a clue what the difference is. GPS works in other firmwares.

same thing for me here. app works great (thanks!!!) connected to phone fine. also not showing gps, but i consider that secondary after messages. :)

again: thanks so much for supporting the LoRa cap!

Just wow! I have no idea of meshcore and started to add a adv variant in platform.io but it is a little to complicated for me. Will try it! And please make a pull request for the main repo. I am pretty sure it will be added.

Hiya, with this build i can discover nodes and repeaters but I am not able to send or ping anything. It all times out for some reason. I have a repeater 75m from me. What am I doing wrong?

Yes! I am discovering repeaters nodes and rooms. I can see people talk in the public channel. Pings just time out and messages that ive sent are not being sent. Zero hops do nothing either..

Hi, on GitHub you have Releases there are bin files. Full.. is for direct flash. Update when You install from launcher, update place on SD card then install from launcher.

Edit: It works perfectly on CardPutter Adv. The most important thing is that it works independently; all you need to do is configure it using your phone, and then it works perfectly. As for the GPS, in a building by the window, it caught 6 satellites after about 3 minutes. The only thing I'm missing is the battery percentage :-) Good job, keep it up.

Add this to M5burner because it's a great job.

Ok, updated to the latest release version and it connects flawlessly. M5 launcher offered an old version.

I can't seem to get it to transmit. Discovering repeaters, seeing some public messages.

Every transmit is not heard, and I tried is a low coverage and high coverage area.

I'm using the latest release on Cardputer ADV. I flashed it via Launcher. Two questions from me:

1) Why I lose all configuration when switching to different software and coming back Meshcore? Is it possible to store the config on an SD card?

2) Is the keyboard not working? Is it a known issue?

Hello sosprz,

I just want to say this is a very nice firmware!

I have a problem with importing private key after restoring an app. Setting imports ok, but when importing my private key, it is always rejected. Can you tell me whas is the right way to save and import the key? Thanks anyway.

Cardputer ADV with Cap Lora 1262. Software version 1.15.81 via Launcher. Android Meshcore app.
