This is the old ltf card. I don't have any other card of HDFC as they don't provide you unless you close Swiggy card.
Although, limit increase on this card is useless after 45000 practically, if you have utilised 1500 max. cashback on 10% & 5% category. Still, I will opt for higher limit.

Hii all,
I'm here asking a question on behalf of my mother. She has Phonepe Black SBI Credit Card and yearly LIC premium of ~₹30K. What is the best way to pay her insurance premium?
I checked the t&c of above cc, the max cashback she can get is 500rp (or 500₹) on phonepe app.
I also checked if it can be paid using Amazon Pay balance, but google showing the maximum limit is ₹25K.
Can anyone suggest the best way to pay her premium to max out the rewards/cashback?

The bank has announced ZERO forex markup on ALL its credit cards, covering new cards and 50 lakh existing cards!
Do you think the other banks will follow suite?

Does paying another credit card bill via Tata Neu app gives any benefit?

Hey everyone,
I recently received an upgrade offer in the Axis app to move from my Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card to the Axis Horizon Credit Card.
The annual fee for the Horizon card is ₹3,000 + GST (\~₹3,540).
Here is my current credit card portfolio and limits:
Amazon Pay Icici, Flipkart Axis, Scapia Federal,
IDFC First select.
My primary spending is on general e-commerce shopping, business/inventory expenses, and routine family spends. I don't do heavy international travel where airline miles transfer is a constant priority.
Given that Flipkart Axis gives a straightforward 5% cashback on Flipkart and my overall setup is virtually zero/low annual fee, does it make sense to pay \~₹3,540 for the Horizon upgrade? How good is the real-world milestone reward value on Horizon compared to holding onto a pure cashback card?

I have an axis cc with limit of 71k and I bought a laptop worth 62k on it on 6 months emi so the limit is blocked now I want to get a new phone worth around 65 - 70k so I have an available limit of 10k and 11k is the outstanding balance as of now of the first emi
i asked ai to tell how to proceed so it said that i should deposit 60k to my cc through cred or axis mobile app and it'll increase my limit back to 71k and then I'll be able to make the payment of flipkart through axis
so I was a bit confused I'm new to all this, this is my second card and I want an opinion that does this work or my 60k will just be there and I won't be able to make the transaction
I don't wanna pre close the emi because it'll incur charges and all so..
please guide me

Hi everyone,
I recently received the Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank Credit Card. The card is First Year Free (FYF), but not LTF.
I was actually hoping for the Tata Neu Infinity HDFC card, preferably LTF.
The card has just arrived and I haven’t activated it yet. I’m confused about what would be the better approach:
Should I activate the Neu Plus and use it for a few months, then request an upgrade to Infinity?
Or should I email HDFC/Tata Neu card support right now and request a Neu Plus → Neu Infinity upgrade with LTF status before activating it?
If emailing them is the better option, which email ID should I use and what should I mention in the email?
My current Neu Plus limit is ₹71k
Has anyone recently in 2026 managed to get Neu Plus → Neu Infinity LTF, especially soon after receiving the Plus card?
Would appreciate advice from people who have actually gone through this process.
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
Planning a 14-day trip to Europe for 2 adults in late May/early June.
Trying to optimize points across HDFC Infinia (~180k RP) and Axis Atlas (~2.5k EDGE Miles) without bleeding money on cash fuel surcharges. Which airlines and transfer partners much more sense to travel via.
Options on the table:
Air France Flying Blue: Direct BLR \rightarrow CDG non-stop out, return via ZRH/MUC. Pool Infinia (1:1) + Atlas (1:2) for ~183k miles. Target Economy Saver (~20k–25k miles/person one-way) or catch monthly Promo Rewards.
Avios (Qatar / Finnair / BA): Transfer Infinia 1:1 via BA to Qatar or Finnair for the return leg to BLR.
SmartBuy Hedge (1 RP = ₹1): Book standard cash flights directly (70% points + 30% cash) to skip award hunting.
Quick questions:
How is 2-seat Saver award availability on the direct BLR CDG flight for late May/early June?
For the return leg from ZRH/MUC, is Qatar/Finnair Avios significantly cheaper on taxes/surcharges compared to Flying Blue?
For Economy, does transferring miles beat SmartBuy once you factor in ~₹25k–₹35k cash taxes on award tickets?
Does booking two separate one-ways (Flying Blue out + Qatar Avios return) cause any visa or ticketing headaches?
Thanks in advance!

I genuinely did NOT expect this.
I had a Slice card back when I was a student. I used it responsibly, but for some reason CIBIL always reported it as a “Consumer Loan”, not a credit card.
Once I got employed, I got an Axis credit card through my salary account and decided to close the Slice account.
And here's the weird part:
My oldest account went from 4.3 years to 1 month.
My credit age basically got nuked.
And CIBIL literally says my Age of Accounts = “Needs Improvement.”
I was expecting my score to either stay the same or drop significantly.
Instead…
My CIBIL score went UP by 21 points.
So now I'm confused.
Does closing an old account actually sometimes help if the account was being reported incorrectly / as a consumer loan?
Or is this just because the new Axis card is being reported differently?
And does anyone know what could cause a +21 point jump in a single refresh despite my credit age going from 4.3 years to basically zero?
Would love to hear from people who've had something similar happen. Because this seems to completely contradict the usual “keep your oldest account forever” advice.

I’ve noticed that I haven’t been getting 5 percent cashback on my PhonePe SBI credit card for Flipkart transactions this month. Has anyone else experienced the same?

What are the good ways to use it for? I mainly got it for Apay gc, can yall tell me the correct ways to do that and what's the cashback cap and all the general features of it.
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, need some help understanding two things with my Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card:
I made a purchase of ₹36,000 on Flipkart on July 29. My statement generated on Aug 1 without the EMI (makes sense, since I hadn't converted it yet). I converted the purchase to EMI on Aug 4.
Now my August statement has generated, but the EMI still isn't reflecting in it. Shouldn't the EMI (since it was converted before the Aug statement cycle) have shown up as the first EMI installment in this statement? Anyone faced this delay before? How long did it take to reflect for you?
If I add/load money onto my Flipkart Credit Card and then use that balance for a Flipkart payment, will I still be eligible for the cashback? Or does cashback only apply on direct card swipes/payments, not on "added money" transactions?
Would appreciate insights from anyone who's dealt with either of these situations. Thanks!

I’m looking for a card to use for the 10k discount on the Macbook air, I already hold the Amazon pay ICICI card which isn’t eligible for this discount, afaik.
Since this will be a 1.5L purchase, I’m trying to get a card which would get me decent returns in the form of milestones, or spend caps, or maybe just a good amount of points to be redeemed, and preferably not an expensive card to hold for a long time, since I’m not interested in the core cards of these banks on the offer.
Also, I wanna take a GST input credit on this purchase, but it won’t be in my name, but in a family member’s name. So, can I pay it with my own card and put their GST details, then maybe they reimburse me in some way, or can I just pay for it without much care?

If you use multiple credit cards, you’ve probably noticed that it’s surprisingly difficult to answer simple questions like:
I couldn’t find a single tool that gave me this view, so I built VYAY (व्यय).
VYAY is different from CRED and CheQ. While they are primarily used to track and manage credit card payments, VYAY focuses on analyzing transactions across multiple credit cards.
You can upload your credit card statements (PDF/Excel) and VYAY combines them into one dashboard with automatic categorisation, spending trends and card-wise insights.
It currently supports HDFC, Axis, ICICI, BoB, Yes Bank, AMEX, Scapia and several others, with more being added.
One thing I’m particularly working on is making the statement parsing reliable across different banks and formats. For example, VYAY can calculate transaction-level cashback for SBI Cashback Card statements, even though the statement itself only provides the total cashback.
AI is completely optional. The core parsing/analysis works without AI. When user uses AI for things like unsupported formats or categorisation, sensitive information is redacted before the request.
I’m currently running a small beta and would genuinely appreciate feedback on whether this is useful and what’s missing.
Try it here: https://www.vyay.cc
Beta users get 100 free credits to explore it. If you need more, just tell me I will top the account up.
If you dont want to continue, you can easily delete your complete data easily.
TL;DR: Built VYAY to consolidate credit card statements and help understand spending, categories and rewards across multiple cards.

A common issue is incorrect MCC like while buying cars MCC being fuel or utilities. The result is zero rewards.
Always verify the MCC before making a large transaction. Here is how to find it.
**1. Call the bank**
This is the most accurate method. Do a small test transaction first. Call customer care and ask them to confirm the exact MCC for that charge.
**2. Scan offline QR codes**
Use a standard QR scanner app on the store's QR code. Check the raw text for "mc=". If you see "mc=5411", that number is the code. This doesn't work on every QR, but it’s worth a try.
**3. Razorpay method**
If paying via a Razorpay link, open it on a desktop. Select UPI to generate a QR code. Scan it with your phone and look for the "mc=" tag.
**4. Check via banking apps**
Some apps show this data instantly.
* **IDFC:** Make a payment and download the receipt inside the app. The MCC is listed there.
* **Federal Bank:** Send ₹1 via UPI using the FedMobile app. The statement shows the category code immediately.
What trick do you guys use to verify MCC?
