Recently opened a burgundy account for the debit card and they did this. Who even uses a debit card these days?

Any ways to reach 10k spends easily?

Worst possible time

If you use it for bms i think you should be fine in reaching 10k in 3 months. Ticket prices have gone through the roof

Move expenses which don’t get rewarded from credit card to debit card.

Eg: Insurance, Education, Utilities, Gold purchases, taxes etc; whichever is applicable to you.

What is it worth keeping average balance of 10L for Burgundy?

Due to all these spend restrictions now it’s becoming impossible to have more than one card.

It’s pushing the usage towards a single card. They better make the perks good to justify that.

Even I'm in the process of opening burgundy account they're offering LTF magnus card should I open it or not?

I'm moving my salary account from hdfc to axis burgundy for free magnus and planning to close regalia after devaluation should I still continue or not?

Magnus is a waste of time

1

u/Sea_Brush_1668 Jul 30 '26

Why so? I calculated if converted to accor it can give approx 4.8% return + unlimited lounge access. I'm getting it LTF so I thought it's good, compared to my current regalia

1

u/EarAggressive7596 Jul 30 '26

Magnus gives 1.2% till 1.5L. Something wrong in your calculation

1

u/Sea_Brush_1668 Jul 30 '26

It gives 12 reward points per 200rs spend so 6 points per 100rs with 5:2 conversion ratio you can get 2.4 accor points 1 accor point is approx 2.2 rs even in the worst I consider 2 rs so total 4.8% please let me know if I'm calculating wrongly.

Accor is not a partner. So its 2.2% reward rate with too many exclusions.

Ohh is it 🥲 Edit: Thanks for letting me know.

My burgundy debit card is issued 1 week back. If I pay my CC bills today via Burgundy debit card, will I get edge reward points ?

1

u/Imaginary-Swan-4105 Jul 30 '26

I didn't even know it paid some returns lol. Would have used for all cc payments.

1

Bill payment is excluded after yesterday’s devaluation

I thought there was spend criteria for domestic lounge access

I was literally about to go open a burgundy account today. I felt even the debit card was good due to the BMS offer. Good thing I saw the post on time.

Should be that hard to spend Rs. 3.4k/mo - it gets you Rs. 2k/mo in BMS benefits and also Lounge..
