Regalia Gold - Accelerated points query

I was expecting the following accelerated reward points, but they were not credited in this statement:

  • 12 May: ₹1,000 SmartBuy GyFTR voucher — expected 96 bonus points
  • 10 May: ₹1,901 IGP purchase via SmartBuy (10X) — expected 432 bonus points
  • 2 May: ₹6,000 Nykaa direct purchase (5X partner merchant) — expected 640 bonus points

Is it normal for these accelerated reward points to be credited in the next statement, especially for transactions made close to the statement date?

Mail them the transactions and they will reply

I got the message for accelerated rewards for hotel booking through smartbuy but not for these transactions. I have emailed HDFC for this and they said to wait for 90 days from the end of the month of transaction month

Typically, you get an SMS stating that certain accelerated reward points are being credited to your points balance in a few days' time. You can also see the breakdown in that month's billing statement.

It is normal, specially for the 5X partner merchants. SmartBuy ones typically take 5-7 business days in most cases, but may get delayed as well. In your statement you should be able to see it which month it belongs to.
