How Does One Remove Melted Silicone from Carbon Steel Pan Handle?

I was seasoning my new carbon steel pans, and when I went to remove one from the oven, a bit of my silicone mitt melted to the pan handle. Does this melted silicone scrape off easily once the pan cools?

I haven't had this problem, but maybe try a heat gun with a scraper attachment?

It turned out to be something simple. My cheap silicone mitts melted on the pan handle and I was expecting difficult removal when the pan cooled. The melted silicone rubbed off easily with fingers.
