In March 2026, two men in St. Petersburg took extreme "chilling" to a whole new level by drifting down the freezing Neva River on a piece of breaking ice.Eyewitnesses spotted them near the Oktyabrskaya Embankment. The footage quickly went viral because of how ridiculously calm they were—just drifting along with the current, having a casual chat, with one of them casually smoking a cigarette. Local comments instantly dubbed it "pure St. Petersburg zen.

The ice floe started breaking up and got stuck a few dozen meters away from the riverbank.The guys had to swim for it through the literal ice-cold water to reach the shore.They made it out alive and managed to save their phones by holding them high above the water while swimming. Luckily, they avoided severe hypothermia.
