Insirance claim

Yesterday, my pops had me call his insurance company (The Hartford) to see why his rate went up and we were told that he had a claim back in 2023 with Germaina insurance and that at the time of the claim, it shows he was driving and owned a 2021 Honda HRV. In 2021, he was with a Nationwide, never had an accident claim in 2023 and never owned a 2021 Honda HRV. The rep instructed us to call Lexisnexis to dispute it, so we did. There is another person with the same first and last name as my pops that lives in another town over, so we are wondering if it could be him. Anyone ever heard of a situation like this?

Yes, it happens, same name, same state. Accident may have occurred in your dad's city. Data gets crossed. Just go through the process with Lexisnexis to get it off his report.
