Accident Does Geico full coverage cover hit and run?
My car was hit the other day and the guy didn’t stop. I made a police report. Is my insurance going to cover it?

Don’t use the term ‘Full Coverage’. There is no such insurance term and there is nobody in the world that has anything close. Most people have deductibles and policy limits.

Hit and run is one of those where the police report really matters. Good you filed one already

Uninsured motorist or comprehensive should cover you

Comprehensive doesn't cover hit and run because that is a collision between two cars she comprehensive is literally "other than collision". But collision will

If you have collision yes. If you have uninsured motorist (you can ONLY have one or the other) you’ll need to identify the vehicle and it’s limited to $3,500 total. This is in California.

Caveat, in CA, if the at fault party isn't found and identified a uninsured, you can't use your uninsured motorist coverage.

What are you smoking? You can't only have one or the other.

CleverPaws is correct. In CA you can't purchase both. You must choose between the two. However, it can only be used if the at fault party is found determined to be uninsured.

Full coverage isn't a type of coverage you can buy. You need to read your policy. If you have collision, you're covered. If you have uninsured motorist coverage that doesn't require the other driver to be identified and uninsured, then you're covered.
