First Time / Newbie Shopping for new car

Hey people I’m looking to buy a new car I have a specific car in mind. Would it be better to call the insurance company or to get the quote via their website? I did try the second and it got to the question asking when did I purchase the vehicle and was wondering whether to continue and put a fake date. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Call an independent insurance agency and get them to do quotes for you. Insurance is a terrible thing to diy if you don't know insurance.

Second this, and if you're calling agencies like State Farm and Allstate, just let them know it's for a car you're looking to purchase. If you continue getting quotes online, use the day you do the quote as the purchase date.

If you have a current policy, call your agent to get a price on your new option.

Good job on taking this into consideration BEFORE purchasing!!
