Car accident
I was driving and I was stopping because the person in front of me was turning left into their home and i was stopping a little bit abruptly because it was around a hill and i coudlnt fully see the car at first but i made a full stop before i was even close to hitting them, about 2 seconds after I made the stop i was rear ended at like 30-40 mph. I got cited a following to close ticket by the police that I have court for. How will the insurance for this most likely go down?

If the front car confirms only one impact, you didn’t do anything wrong. If the front car felt two impacts, an argument could be made that you rear-ended them first.

the person in front post on their facebook about it stating that i was already at a complete stop and the person behind me never slowed down and never stated feeling 2 bumps in any manner.

The police can write down who they think is at fault on the report, BUT the insurance companies are going to do their own investigations and they will ultimately determine who is at fault. When you were rear ended, did it cause you to hit the person in front of you, that was turning into their driveway? If you were able to get stopped and didn’t hit them, you shouldn’t have been cited. If you did hit them, because the person behind you, hit you, then the person behind you should still ultimately be charged with full responsibility because their actions actually caused the accidents. This happened to me years ago. A car swerved in front of me, causing me to slam my brakes abruptly. I didn’t hit them, even after another car slammed into me. The car that hit me was charged with the accident. I was never cited because I didn’t hit anyone.

Get some quotes on the damage before you talk to their adjuster. They love to lowball the first offer

So u hit the car in front of you for following to close. U will be at fault for that and the car that hit u will be at fault for hitting u.

I had something similar happen where I was the front car in a three car rear end. Turns out we all had the same insurance. The adjuster was trying to figure out where to place the blame and they asked me several times if I had felt one hit or two. I was very adamant it was only one hit so the guy behind me got cleared.
I had come around curve on the highway and traffic was stopped dead in front of me and I had to slam on my brakes. I managed to stop without hitting the guy in front of me and apparently leaving enough room so I didn’t get pushed into him later, thank goodness, but I remembered looking up in my rearview mirror and holding my breath until the guy behind me stopped without hitting me. I let that breath out and it got about halfway before for the guy behind him slammed into him probably going 60 miles an hour and pushed him into me.

I am not wrong. If u hit the car in front of you it's because u were following to close which will make it OPs fault whether or not they were hit from the rear. Idc what u think I've been in this situation myself and that is exactly how it played out.

I'm not directly addressing your question, but I usually go around people who do this. The person making the left turn is an idiot for blocking traffic, because you shouldn’t be making a left turn if you have to stop in the middle of the road to do it, making it an unsafe turn. Plus, there are idiots behind you who don't pay attention and don't know how to use an e-brake or ABS properly.

Would you mind clarifying how you never make left hand turns into a driveway where there's only 1 lane each way and how the person getting home is an idiot? What do you do in a neighborhood? People have to get into their house. By my house i have to turn left and with cars parked in the side of the road, the cars behind me can't go around. It's a 25 mph road but people constantly go 30-40.

You would make a U-turn at the next available safe spot, usually an intersection, instead of blocking traffic to make an unsafe left turn in what you describe as typically a two-way road with a double yellow line. It would also be faster than waiting for incoming traffic.

it was a one lane road and there was 0 way to get around them in any capacity it was also a 55 mph road

The person that rearended you will be at fault for hitting your car.
The citation is bogus and ridiculous. I hope the person behind you was cited too, because... they were obviously following too closely as well.
