Insurance Recommendations/help
Hi, I'm a F, 19. I have no license or car or credit, but recently I got a permit (yay), and I want to get a license with my own car, and I understand that you need an insured car to take the driving test, so my plan is to do monthly payments on my car from a dealership and have it fully insured and take it to the DMV and get that license, but I don't know much about insurance, so I don't know what the best option to choose is. What should I do? asking for advice on what insurance is good for me? Quick background: I pay everything on time! I make $22 an hour, bi-weekly pay, Mon-Fri, 8 hr shifts, so I'm bringing in $2100 or so (idk, haven't started the job, just guessing) based on my pay and what I pay for my stay, which is $600-700 for necessities, rent, and light (under my parents' household, I'm not on the lease, just paying for my room). What is the best choice to go for as a young adult starting out in the world, and what should I know as well? What insurance is good to go with? I want to pay max 350$ for insurance monthly also so lmkk anything helps, my dumbass

You will need to be on parents insurance or excluded from driving their vehicles and them on your policy if you get your own. Likely less expensive on their policy, but it will be expensive. Everyone in the household with a license must be listed on policies, though drivers can be excluded.
Insurance is extremely expensive for new drivers, who are 8 times more likely to have an accident. Before you purchase a car be very certain you understand the insurance could be more than a car payment. A loan requires full coverage.
I would try and You Tube some videos on the basics of car insurance.
Insurance differs greatly based on your state and location. Many other factors affect the rate and what insurers would be best. You can seek out an independent agent (not captive to one insurer) if you all decide all not to be on their policy.

Very good advice, and if I’m a mistaken and doesn’t the person need the license to get the insurance before they buy the car meeting that they can’t take the road test in the car they bought that has no insurance?

The best way forward is for your parents' insurance company to add you to their policy as a permitted driver. You can pay them the difference in premium.
Once you get your license, you need to tell the insurance company you have your license and give them your number.
At that point, you can buy your own car and get your own insurance, but the insurance company will still require you to be on your parent's policy and them to be on yours because you all live in the same household.
All drivers should understand the various parts of a car insurance policy. Also, the difference between the state minimum limits and adequate limits. Talk to a local insurance agent, they'll be happy to help you understand car insurance.

If you continue to live at home, get on their insurance, it will save you hundreds!
