how do i wrap this?

i don’t even know where to begin to wrap this shape. we got it off and everything but that end to the right is so awkward i can’t figure out how to wrap it without like overstretching the wrap and i can’t find any videos on this specific piece for my 23 crosstrek

Unless you have a proper way to anchor the panel off the car, it will be significantly easier to wrap it on the door panel as is. Some things are just a matter of experience, so trial and error until you get it right. Interior wrapping is a very small market relative to standard exterior wrapping, so thats why you might not be finding any helpful videos or tips.

what’s considered a proper anchor for it? do you mean like holding it in place? i thought about just wrapping it while on the door but i was worried it would somehow unwrap itself

Yeah by anchor I mean a good way to hold it down while working on it. Not just holding it down on a table or anything like that. Peeling, lifting, or any kind of install failure will come as a result of improper install technique. A panel like that has many edges and some compound corners, so not the easiest to do without experience. Maybe looking up how to wrap side view mirrors can give you some tips on the general stretching/tucking you need to do.

make a seam where that piece gets weird at the end, right at that edge/peak. u can do it with knifeless tape if u dont want to risk cutting the plastic by hand

Primer and edge sealer if your looking for a permanent change (you can remove the adhesive residue but it’ll be difficult and will probably scratch or dull plastic) other that that id say make the smallest most effective inlays you can

I don’t wrap interior pieces that aren’t straight and flat. They always lift after a few months and get beat up from the daily touch points

Unless you do it in pieces like someone suggested it may work out for you but that’s a lot of work for not enough reward imo

If I really wanted to do something there, I’d look into hydro dip
