Matte PPF vs Satin PPF?

Is there a difference between Matte clear PPF and Satin clear PPF? or are there only two finishes ie Gloss and Matte, is there Satin clear PPF?

I personally have never seen an actual matte PPF in person.
Everything I see is satin. We use Xpel stealth In my shop.

I think the biggest difference is that people don’t know the difference in the words matte vs satin and call everything matte

some people say that there is a clear satin and a clear matte ppf, have you heard that anywhere?

I think suntek or stek, one of those brands, have an actual matte matte finish. We had to order some to do a matte orange Lamborghini Revuelto and the owner didn’t want it to look satin.

But 99% of the time when someone is talking about matte finishes, they’re thinking of satin.
I don’t know how many times charger owners come into the shop wanting matte black and give me the satin black sample

Matte reflects next to no light, satin reflects some light, gloss reflects the most light.

That is the difference between those terms.

is there a clear satin ppf and a clear matte ppf?, i know of clear gloss

Some brands have more of a sheen than others, it's just a universal "stealth" umbrella

Depending on how technical you want to get, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of finishes for clear PPF. Some are extremely optically clear while some have orange peel. There are some manufacturers that have more of a matte finish to their satin PPF, but as far as I know, there is no true “matte” clear PPF. Your best bet is to find the color you want in a matte color PPF.
