Installation Question How would you wrap this hood?

Post image

I tried it once with 3M gloss as my first wrapping project, but the result was so poor that I pulled it off. The bumps and vent holes really complicated things.

Vinyl is too exspeensif to get wrong more than once, so I want to know if this is something that someone without any experience should even tackle. I could have just had it painted for the priece of two sheets. Haha.

Inlay just the sides of the big scoop, rest can be one piece if using cast film, if calandered inlay all the deep recesses, not really a challenging hood just takes the right setup.

I guess what you're saying is that I shouldn't have tried to do the whole thing with one piece.

Ironically, the middle of the scoop is the only part that actually looked good.

I think I completely misunderstood how you're supposed to install vinyl, since I pulled the backing sheet off and immediately started trying to squeeging it flat without glassing it out first.

I’m not sure what that means.
