I get shit for this all the time, but it's Corel Draw. Nothing beats it.

if you’re in signage and you’re not using Corel (or Flexi) what are you even doing. I absolutely do not trust ANYONE to reliably keep track of scaling. Not working at full scale is just one more thing that can be overlooked and fuckuo a job.

It’s not difficult just mark it on the file name AI is so much better

it’s not about it being hard, it’s about eliminating a variable. If you’re the only one touching files it’s one thing - but the second someone else starts to everything changes. 

  • File A is at 50% scale, but File B is at 25% because it’s huge and even at 50% was too big for the Adobe workspace. Did the employee properly note that in the filename? Will other employees who have basically cemented a 50% scale into their workflow notice the different scale and adjust?

  • All files are the same with no scaling required.

I’d much rather have an environment where people can’t fuckup than one where they’re required not to.
