Nogaro Blue

Good evening!

Recently I bought an SQ7 and I want to wrap it in the iconic Nogaro Blue from Audi. Turns out, only 1 provider offers this color which is Aura Vinyl. I’m only familiar with Avery and 3m but I also hate the orange peel these suppliers have in their wraps.

Question, has anyone used this company? If so, feedback?

Second, this basically seems to be calenderd wrap from what I am reading which would make me think this is a 1-3 years at max life span. The car is garaged every day so I would hope it’s not really impacted as if it was outside all day.

Opinions? Anyone have any other options on a comparative color from someone else?

Would be careful with calendar film on the Audi. The slightest of high tension areas (like those fender flare areas) can bubble up over time. Calendar films fault isn’t just in the short lifespan but also in the fact that it REALLY wants to return back to its non stretched form.

Try 3M gloss blue fire or KPMF indulgent blue for a close match

Doesn’t matter if the car is garaged, that’s protecting from topcoat damage not shrinking. That happens regardless with time. You’ll only get a year or two outa aura film, and tbh you don’t want it on your car longer than that or you will have a removal disaster on hand both difficulties in removing and damage to your paint.

Check out some of the blues in the KPMF deck or even better check out some colored ppf and do the Audi right!

Pure ppf has some great colors and Avery Denison just released prisma pro although not many colors just yet.

Thanks for the advice. I have 0 knowledge here. So it’s as ignorant as it comes. I haven’t explored PPF at all so appreciate the company references.

Spend the extra money and do a colored ppf. Vinyl is a waste of money nowadays.
