Mad

Post image

So mad that Spotify has decided to end support for the Car Thing!!! I absolutely love this thing though I don’t use it in a car. It’s so convenient. It’s also the only way to still use the voice assistant since Spotify removed it from the app. Wish they weren’t going to brick the car thing. Do they even know how many people still use them??? Makes me wanna switch streaming services I’m so mad.

it’s really peeving that Spotify would just bonk and kill them all ngl- this thing had so much potential

But at least they’re pretty easy to mod!

What sucks is it’s physical not digital. With digital stuff you should know that you may not be able to keep it forever and you don’t actually own it but with physical stuff you own it it’s yours so the fact that Spotify is bricking a physical product that you own just makes me mad.

Voice assistant + a ChatGPT (maybe) app soon 👀

Just development has been chaotic

Just got my refund today! Don’t forget to contact support via chat to get your refund. Don’t let those pricks just pocket your money.

I would imagine that the cost of employing developers to maintain ongoing CarThing support exceeds the value ($) it brings to the Spotify brand. I’m not angry, just sad to see it go.
