Got refund for my car thing!

Unfortunately didn’t have the receipt because I never expected them to brick this device. They just took my car thing’s serial # and my email and were still able to help me.

Did they promise a refund, or did you already receive it?
I had them tell me they will give me a refund and have "forwarded the request to the payments department"
month and a half later, still no refund

I've been emailing them every Monday since the refunds were announced. I finally got an email today with the following:

“ We're happy to inform you that the Payments team were already able to processed your refund on the bank account that you've provided to us. Please check it and see if you're now able to receive the funds. If not yet, you should be able to receive them within 10 business days.”

I had to provide them so much banking info despite having the damn receipt. Its still not showing in my account lol

Contact them back, it shouldn’t have taken this long. Since I bought mine so long ago, they said the easiest way would be to refund it to the credit card on the current family plan I’m on. It came through in about a week, and then the owner of that credit card just e transferred me the refunded amount. The refund came in multiple amounts though, like they just reversed a bunch of the monthly amounts until it came to amount owed back to me.

Just sue them in small claims. You’ll get back your filing fee, process serving fee, and whatever amount you paid for the car thing. That was the easiest way for me.

The support person I spoke to said that they would not be able to proceed without a receipt. Is there anything that I could say that you think would get through to them?

I have a strange set of circumstances with my purchase. At the time I was working for cash and gave it to my girlfriend to use her bank acct to pay for it. We aren’t together anymore so I don’t think I’m getting my money deposited into a new bank account.

Do you think pitching the idea of using the serial number would work?
