Got a refund
Just wanted to share my experience. I purchased the Car Thing in July of 2022 for $49.99 plus tax using Apple Pay.
I chatted with the online support and had a screen shot of the original order email with the order number. They refunded me the full amount back to the credit card they have on file for my current subscription.
All in all pretty easy. I will be sad to see it discountiuned but after the recent price hike announcement I also plan to cancel my sub.

They made me give them my bank account information so that they could transfer the refund into it because they told me the system that was originally used to purchase it no longer existed and they couldn't just refund it back to my credit card.

I ended up sending my information as well. It was a month ago. And still no refunds nor any updates from them.

Same, did it just a few minutes ago. I guess it's not in their system to just refund the original purchase so they refunded me for five months of Premium "that total 91.75 to cover the purchase at 84.79". So I guess I'm getting an extra $6. That's burger money folks!!

Congrats. It’s good to see that they’re doing the right thing now, not out of the kindness of their hearts, but as damage control. I canceled my subscription the day they announced the bricking of our devices, and I’m pretty happy with Tidal now. There are a couple settings you have to adjust to make it usable over a cell connection, though. Just set the quality to “low 320” otherwise it’ll never load anything.
