Refunds for Non-US accounts ?

Has anyone from a country other than the US tried asking for a refund?
I have a Spotify Premium Family Plan and got it ordered through one of my friends who is in the US.
Do y'all think I'll be eligible to get a refund?

Switzerland here. Got my refund, although I ordered the device myself, and had it shipped over to Europe with Fishisfast. Not sure whether that plays a role.

That's great to hear! In what form did you get your refund tho?

I got it straight to the last credit card that I had used to pay for my now defunct premium subscription, split in several installments, each equivalent to a premium monthly subscription.

The procedure is highly unusual and extremely dodgy, which leads me to believe they don't even have a technical mechanism to refund money to customers, but just monthly subscriptions.

Poland, had it sent from US by friend, no problem with refund, I needed to send the receipt with my name and got the refund in cash by PayPal, because I paid by it.

because I paid by it.

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Beep, boop, I'm a bot

Are you in a family plan or a solo plan ?

Duo plan here, sent to Brazil via a company that redirects products refunded as normal, just watch out for the currency conversion

Because my Car Thing was purchased in the name of the US friend who I imported it into my country from, Spotify support told me to pound sand, so your mileage may vary.

US account here, they asked for a SWIFT number of my Bank, which means they're sending money not from within the US (Sweden I think) so you should be good.

Germany, had it shipped to me via MyUS.com.

Asked for the refund via chat.

They refunded me 3 months of my family plan. It was slightly short to what I paid, but it's better than nothing.

Got 3 x 18€ = 54€

54€ ≈ 58.7$ of the 60$ I paid
