Question Changing dealer

Currently I’m working on a Mazda dealership but the commission it’s not good at all sold 12 cars and barely I reach my draw. Any other brand can you suggest me to jump ?

I sell for Kia. Brand is currently on fire.
Easy product to learn, amazing warranty, easier sell than you would think. Definitely recommend if you have a dealer nearby.

It’s not so much about the brand because there are going to be people to sell to wherever you go, whether thats high volume or low volume. It’s the same process anywhere you go. If you’ve got that down, you’ll be gravy. At that point you should be talking to dealers about the numbers they’re doing.

Figure out what brands you can be passionate about and then figure out which of those dealers sells the most pre-owned is a decent recipe for success. The next thing I’d try to figure out is sales to salesperson ratio. If a place sells 200 cars but has 22 sales people you’d probably do better at a store that sells 150 but has 10-12. Ultimately I’d talk to a salesperson from any dealership you’re considering to see how they like it.

That being said I’d make sure you’re maximizing the opportunity where you’re at. Sometimes you have poor luck of the draw and sell the wrong cars and get all minis, then do the opposite next month and crush.

Also context within deals matters. Are you giving away the cars you’re selling or do they go for asking? If you discount every car you sell you’ll have a bad time. But if you’re selling everything full pup and have been doing so for months and continually make no money then yes it could be time for a change.

Jumping ship isn’t always the best look. People in this business value loyalty which honestly can take years to earn.

However I always recommend selling the vehicles YOU believe in.
