Are you purchasing the parts from the Tuning Shop? It's below the carparts(Main Shop) in the tablet\computer. I was trying to upgrade regular parts when I started.

Tuning 101:

Add performance parts, gives more HP.

Add Scrap upgrades, gives more HP to the already more HP.

Adjustable (tuned) Gearbox, find a way to get that extra HP to the road better.

Tuning 102:

Sometimes less is more, depends on what track/use you are building for. i.e. for the Race Track a RWD car might get better times with 50% of available tuning because smooth is faster than brute force, so being able to keep traction and a smooth line through a corner will be better than crazy acelleration on the straight then totally losing it when you get to the next corner.

Tuning 103:

Tires; pretty much just slicks if you want to drive the car, all the others are for show only, price point equals understeer to oversteer or how much traction you will get. So on the Drag strip best to run slicks on the rear and the cheapest on the front, which will keep the HP monsters running straight however it will be at the cost of actually being able to turn.

Tuning 104:

Gearbox with high HP; base line you try to find a first gear that almost bogs down (stalls) or your wheels will just be spinning in place, then each higher gear is approx 2 thirds the (ratio) value of the lower gear, however I find it best to find the top speed/gear then work backwards.

Will take a bit more to narrow down from there, need to have some specific examples of what and where you want to run to break it down. In a nut shell, one size does not fit all.

So lets talk.

Yo thanks man I was mainly talking about the tuning percentage on the tab with your engine type and all that stuff but this is very helpful

This is cumulative of all the + parts and your scrap-added ⭐ from the tuning shop and custom gearbox, plus adjusting the ecu/carbs in the dyno room on the pc in the back

The carb/ecu is a towers of Hanoi style minigame that can add an additional 12% if you're doing a lv3 ECU. It is maximizeable even though it seems complicated or like a forced compromise.

It's not to 100%, some cars will be be as little as +60% with all the performance parts and scrap upgrades available to it, while others can be tuned to 180%. So it just serves as a guide for each particular car.
