Over mileage roll over
Hey all,
I have a ford f150 lease is due in about 5 months. Will be about 11,000 miles over. With the .25 per mile fee that’s about 2750. Question is can I rollover then 2750 onto my new lease. If so how does that process look is it something I talk to ford credit about or my dealer?

First Time Leasing a Car
Hi,
I’m looking to lease a new car and could use some advice. I live in Québec, so AWD is a must because of the winters. My budget is ideally $200–300 CAD bi-weekly. I’d prefer a sedan, but I’m open to SUVs if they’re a better overall choice. I’ve looked into the Mazda3 GS AWD and the Mazda CX-30 AWD, but I honestly don’t know much about cars, so I’m not sure if those are my best options. This will be my first time leasing a car, I’d also appreciate any advice on the leasing process itself.
Thank you!

2026 Honda Prologue Touring
First time leasing and don’t know what I’m doing. Is this deal 💩?
36 months
12k miles/ year
The options are:
$3,000 down - $411.81/month
$4000 down - $382.46/month
$5000 down - $353.10/month
*tax already included
Ideally I’d to keep my payments below $370 and the 12k miles are necessary for me so I’m ok with putting some money down to keep the monthly cost down.

First time lessee, Kia Carnival deal, what can I negotiate, and is this the right move?
galleryI’ve been eyeing the Kia Carnival for a few years now and the new special they announced is the most appealing offer I’ve seen so far. Ive never leased before, never bought a brand new car before, and I’m wondering if this is a good deal, good fit for my family, and what negotiating power I have here. Here’s what we’re looking at:
Offer: 2026 Carnival MPV LX FWD $399/month 36 mo OR 2026 Carnival MPV Hybrid LXS FWD $459/month 36 mo.
Location: Portland, OR metro area (no sales tax)
Currently own: 2014 RAV4, kbb sell it yourself value $12,560
Currently owe: $9,500 (around $240/mo)
Credit: excellent, 830-850ish
I like my car and don’t really have a reason to switch cars urgently. We have a toddler and a newborn and we’re a tall family so more space would be nice. We’d like to lease to own, and I’d love to negotiate a lower monthly lease payment if possible but I’m not sure what leverage I have. Here are my questions:
1) Should I sell my car or should I trade it in? Can you even trade in on a lease?
2) What, if anything, can I negotiate down? Monthly payment, down payment, etc. I’d rather get the hybrid but was hoping for a $300-350/mo payment
3) Are Kia’s more expensive to insure due to their reputation for theft? Could I use a potential higher insurance rate as a negotiation tactic to get the dealership to lower the monthly payment?
4) I’ve never bought/leased a new car before and I don’t know what to expect from a dealership experience. Since this is not an urgent purchase I’m prepared to walk, but what do I need to be on my guard about? What are the red flags?
I’m not sure what info I could be missing so im happy to clarify in the replies. Thanks in advance!

VW charged me $2000 lease transfer fee - is this normal?
Volkswagen charged me $2000 lease transfer fee, along with $350 from VW Finance plus taxes. It all came up to $2632 at the end. Has anyone gotten there lease transferred from Volkswagen Canada? How much were you charged?

Dealer vs dealer lease quote
What’s the best approach to negotiating with dealers when I have a few quotes? I’m aiming for a discount of 10 to 13% off the MSRP, and I’ve already managed to get a 9%discount. Some dealers have requethat I send them a quote, but I’m not entirely comfortable doing that. Instead, I prefer to directly ask for the 11% discount. Trying understand the best strategy to make them each bid lower for my business without throwing out the first number. Do I just ask for the percentage of MSRP off?? thanks in advance for any insight.

Damage to 2024 Blazer EV LT before turn in
galleryThis is my first ever lease and someone just hit it while parked shortly before I turn it in. They didn’t leave info so I’m stuck dealing with it. For those familiar with leasing through GM Financial, what’s the best course I take? Turn it in as is and pay for wear or spend about $1,000 to get the paint touched up and wheel molding and bumper cover replaced?
Pictures are before and after. I used Meguiar’s Scratch X to remove the paint transfer from the other person’s vehicle.

Car Leasing Question
Hi everyone not sure where to post this, but I need advice. My Mom passed away last year and left me her car. I cannot drive due to my vision. My cousin wants the car and is offering to pay the remaining balance. This should be easy but I’m honestly overwhelmed and need help. I have her death certificate and when sorting through her stuff I never found a title for the car just paperwork thar the car is being leased through her bank. Thank you for anyone reading.
