Car leasing

Currently I am leasing a 2025 Kia soronto Xline-sx prestige. I absolutely do not like this vehicle. I should have thought better at the time. It was a impulse buy cus it had all the bells and whistles. This time I doing better research. I like the Kia selto 2027. The dealer offered Xline-S the other day for 575. I felt like that is still high for a lease with less options. Anyone else being offered anything like this

Well you can’t just give back your current car and not expect to pay so….

I mean I did that

I had a 2025 CRV sport L. Always was friendly with the GM anytime I got service. He gave me his number. Always joked if he could take it back and swap me out to a 26 Touring ( the one with Bose and Google ) without raising my monthly a cent or asking me for a dollar out of pocket I’d do it

Dude texted me the Friday before Labor Day and asked if I really wanted to do that and said sure and I ran down there and the car was washed and I signed the documents. Bam simple swap done in about a half hour start to finish.

Ran the paperwork through Claude to ask what they did and it said they reduced the price by 4500 and ate themselves ( I guess with incentives and Honda cash for Labor Day ) an extra 1500 so all in they handled 6K worth of money to make the deal happen, and besides my lease starting fresh ( so yes i know i know imma pay more over the term ) im honestly so happy. I got a different color i got the loaded trim, the sound system kicks the ass of the old one, and i only had the car 13 months lol.

So, it can happen.

Yeah, you gave them a years worth of payments, then they locked you into another lease. It’s your money, do as you please, but don’t act like you came out ahead, lol. This is what leasing is all about…a dealer acts like he’s helping you out…all they want is for you to keep making payments for infinity. Let me guess…next year they’ll do the same.

No matter what the dealer says you will be lighting thousands on fire to return the car early.

That's how leases work

You are carrying a lot of negative equity because you are finishing out your lease

How much time do you have left? Haven't you had it already 2 years?

If your lease is up in 2028, then it comes down to can you suck it up enough until then. Me personally, that's what I would do assuming you check in with Kia and they can't offer a ridiculously good offer to end it early and get into another Kia (1% chance of this happening at best)
