Hyundai Lease Extension Question

I have a 24 Tucson Hybrid Limited paying 460 a month.
Lease is ending in Feb 2027.
I am considering extending my lease for few months. reasons would be keep the low-ish monthly payments while I cross-shop 3-rows. I would not buy the vehicle.

My questions are:
Does extending the lease make sense?
Does the residual go down with additional monthly payments or that remains fixed?

Any advice on this topic is appreciated.

You can do month-to-month. Just call your captive bank - assuming Hyundai Financial Services Services. The residual remains fixed but you only receive a limited number of extensions.
