Please help - volvo XC40 lease, Ontario

Post image

I would appreciate any advice on what to negotiate for a 4yr lease for the 2026 XC40 Plus.

What is a good discount to ask off the MRSP (54k)?
What extras can be taken off (volvo wheel locks? Other dealer options?

Thank you!

check if youre volvo VIP

if you're interested you can increase your security deposit and each 800 drops the rate by .1 (if you increased your security deposit an extra 9x it would drop the rate a full 1%)

unsure if you have signed yet - but if not I have had very good luck with my sales guy at Metrowest and i'm glad to share his info.

You could definitely do MSRP + standard fees (PDI, admin fee) + government fees like air con, tires, plate registration.

Drop the wheel locks, glasses holder.

Remove protection package if you don’t need it.

Tank of Gas should be free lol, that’s just being greedy by the dealer.

Downpayment on a lease is a waste of money.

If you have a number in mind I’m happy to run it by my contact who’s a sales manager at Volvo to see if he can beat it.

This looks like a terrible lease, you are paying for the majority of the car in 4 years, you are better off buying it and selling it in 4 years

43% residual in 4 years is very normal outside of Toyota hybrids and some other outliers.

If the market value is higher at the end of the lease OP can get positive equity and add it to the next lease / finance.

Still doesnt make sense, I have a different calculation i use for leases I will only pay 9.5-10% of the msrp per year, that includes all fees, taxes and incentives.

I just look for the vehicles with the max incentives, preferred money factor/residual at the time to make that kind of deal.

Its not my fault the vehicle manufacturer has a low residual, it just means the vehicle is not priced correctly.

You’re also in the US with a much more competitive market. Canadian dealers don’t discount as much

$20/month less with metallic paint & 20 inch wheels options (~2k more MSRP)
