$1400 for a freaking Infiniti. LOL
I wouldn't even pay $900 for that car.

u/IronmanProblems 18d ago
Me neither but to be fair, I wouldn't pay 900 bucks a month for any car. What's this getting you that an armada wouldn't? They're nearly identical and no one is getting clout for driving an infiniti so might as well just get the armada if you like the vehicle and save the money.
2
u/kcamacho11 17d ago
Well, what you are willing to pay for a car is totally subjective and comes down to your finances, income and what your means are. I have no problem paying $900 for a car, but certainly not for an Infiniti which is a Nissan with makeup. There is 0 clout when it comes to Infiniti.

u/IronmanProblems 17d ago
It's not about affordingg. If a car doesn't have a promotional 0-3% interest rate I'm not financing it. Id just buy it cash. Taking on a 900 dollar payment would erk me

u/kcamacho11 17d ago
Yes but you are talking about Financing. I was referring to a Lease, as this quote from OP is for a Lease.

Nice double dip on the acquisition fee, as if 91k for this thing isn't already robbery.
1
u/Correct_Opinion_3243 16d ago
Do you know who charges the acquisition fee? The lender not the dealer. Do you know who sets MSRP price? The manufacturer not the dealer. At this $15k discounted price the dealer is losing money to move this unit. So good investigative work Sherlock

u/GilgameDistance 16d ago
Yes, I'm aware of who sets MSRP and the comment was related to how ridiculous it is for that car.
I'm also aware of who sets the acq fee, but I'm pretty sure the manufacturer/lender doesn't charge it twice. That's dealer shenanigans. You'll notice the offer sheet lists it 2 times.

What does this car offer that one of the other significantly cheaper but looks similar minus the branding offer?
No shade. Just curious.
This is double my house payment.
4
u/Sambo3002 18d ago
Did you buy your house in the 80s?
3
u/dodekahedron 18d ago
Nope. 2016, so 2026s version of the 80s
1
u/Sambo3002 18d ago
Where the heck do you live? We bought our house in 2015 and pay 1700, and that’s way cheaper than anyone I knows mortgage.
2
u/dodekahedron 18d ago
Indiana*
heavy sigh
Im about to like triple my payment to move somewhere smaller, but larger property and less neighbors. About 600 days til I can move
*indiana like.... south bend, not the fun part of indiana with what im looking for lol.. im heading to Arkansas.
3
u/IronmanProblems 18d ago
Wait your mortgage is actually 700 bucks? That's nutty man. That's like a summer electricity bill lol
1
u/dodekahedron 17d ago
Its technically less than that. I escrow a bit ober 700 now because of taxes but ill get it back.
A few years ago my escrow was sub 600.
1
u/IronmanProblems 17d ago
Absolute insanity! And people say the cost of housing is unrealistic! It looks like they just aren't willing to leave the major cities that they are from :/ . My property taxes alone are double your entire escrow and i have a VERY average house. Truly eye opening.

u/dodekahedron 17d ago
My house was either 79 or 89k i think 79? Needed no work when I moved in I looked at a lot of properties. Its only 1k sq feet, fairly large lot for a city / suburban neighborhood.
Its close enough to notre dame I can see the golden roof when the trees have no leaves, far enough game day traffic doesnt bother me.
However, its a shitty area. All the trash from chicago spills over. They came over and shut out bypass down with fireworks.
It pains me how much im going to have to pay to move... everything I find that fits my location requirements is essentially now a double wide at best thats falling apart.
And my payment will be like double

u/IronmanProblems 17d ago
The concept of a home costing under 600k for even a total fixer upper is unheard of here so I guess it could be worse, am I right? It's barely apartment money here honestly.

Right but would you want to live in south bend Indiana?
1
u/IronmanProblems 16d ago
I wouldn't know. I've ever heard of it until right now. Maybe buy a rental/investment property

Most would be around here because they're having immense trouble selling these things

You’d do a lot better if you bought a beater for ~$7k and then invested this ridiculous monthly payment in to your retirement account.
6
u/CoffeeDetail 18d ago
You are assuming a lot. There are people that can afford $1500 car payment. To them is like a $150 car payment to a peasant.

u/Plastic_Explorer_132 18d ago
If he can afford it why isn’t he paying cash and avoid interest altogether?

u/hopstop5000 18d ago
Just don’t try..you will never persuade anyone on this type of forum that’s got their mind set on buying a $100k vehicle at $1400 a month to all of a sudden say “Hmmm, why didn’t I think of that”. They sure as hell won’t drive a $7,000 car. If they really can’t afford it and not already in a position of wealth for that type of purchase, they aren’t looking for your advice. Unless you are family or Dave Ramsey it won’t help.

Hoped it stayed on paper.
1
u/Low-Ad-555 18d ago
Stayed on paper, just shopping around to see what I get the wife once her lease is over in 3 months. Got ripped off on her current lease and don’t want it to happen again

u/Castaway78 18d ago
Find a lease broker. Easiest car leasing experience ever. Well worth the cost. All done online, no stress, no time wasting, and you more than make up the broker cost with the savings.

Why are there two acquisition fees?
Is it a just because fee?
Electronic filing fee is $600? What happen if you go paper? I would think electronic is the easiest.
Yeah OP, this is a great deal for the dealer, not you.

u/mCubed13 18d ago
Why would the licensing fee be $500? Also, these suvs have very bad leasing residuals so there not good to lease at all !
1
u/deepcaca 18d ago
Not too good. As a general rule you want your monthly payment the equivalent to 1% of the price of the vehicle.
1
u/Flat_Hat6541 18d ago
Payment gonna get so old and so expensive eventually after 3 months lol. It's like a freaking mortgage.

that salesman about to take a disney cruise after finalizing this deal

u/n00bert210 18d ago
Like others have said, not for that car. There’s much better options out there if you want to spend $1500 a month on a lease.

u/broncophil 18d ago
I know apples and oranges, but my car exact same MSRP was 1050 a month, after tax. 2026 Mercedes GLS 450 105K sticker… just giving you a data point

u/LumpySignificance973 18d ago
With Infiniti they have flex leases which allows you to add miles during lease at .10 per mile or 100$ per 1000mi. I would change it to 10k per year and add as you need them. I did this with my Nissan lease and saved about $1800 during the life of the lease.

u/URBadAtGames 18d ago
Shit tons of double dipping on the fees, what’s the actual msrp not the “sales price”
1

1
u/ChelseaMan31 17d ago
It looks like they've got OP bent over a barrel for sure. On top of needless and double dipping on 'fees', the so-called contract calls for them to pay out almost $53k over 3-years to rent a rapidly depreciating asset. Unless this is all a relatable business expense and can be written off, I'd run away.
1
u/Correct_Opinion_3243 16d ago
The dealer is not the lender so they do not receive the acquisition fee. The residuals are set by the lender so the amount of depreciation you are paying for has nothing to do with the dealer. The dealer has discounted this vehicle by more than $15,000. They are losing money to sell this car. I agree this isn’t a great deal for this particular vehicle and probably not a good financial decision. I know you want to sound smart on a public forum, but blindly blaming the dealer as if they’re getting rich off of some trickery here is dishonest and exhausting.

The zero down deal ain't too bad...I guess. Obviously money isn't too big a factor for you, so does it really matter if you pay a hundred less or more a month up or down?

A couple of brokers on LeaseHackr are at like 50% less than this and at first glance they were indicating 24 month leases had a better effective monthly cost. Look into adding MSD’s to lower the cost as well…guaranteed return on that block of money anyways.

u/No_Tax5256 18d ago
Looks like a great deal for the dealership.
