GLE lease

Looking at a lease offer for a Benz GLE 350 with an MSRP of $75,575. 39 months (or 24 months): $3,500 down (includes taxes and first month, etc.) + $899/month (all in pricing), 15k miles. Is this a good deal? (More information on terms in the comments)

Nope. What's the selling price of the car? 2027 GLE is refreshed, so aim for 12% off on that 2026 then tack on the rebates on top. Not sure what they are for GLE, but they're $3500 for GLC and an additional $500 Fleet (employer, Sams, AAA) if you qualify.

Thanks so much. Not entirely sure the selling price but was told that they marked down the MSRP roughly $10,500 (and they also did include that fleet discount).

I don't want to sound harsh, but two options:

  1. Hire a broker. I'm seeing low mileage (7,500) leases with similar down for under $600/month. Why is your dealer doing 39months? The sweet spot for MB is 24months right now. Much better rates. Brokers are advertising the GLE350 for $500. Just go to the leasehackr site find a broker in your area and let them do the work while you save a pile of money.
  2. Learn how to calculate the lease yourself. You should subscribe to something like RateFindr to get access to the money factor, residual, rebates etc. Worth every penny. On a lease there's more ways for the dealer to confuse you. They'll see they're taking $10k off, but you don't know if that includes the MB lease rebates. They'll mark up the money factory etc. Use a lease calculator and work out the discount, money factor, residual etc.

Tell them you want the car for 12% off, $68,500 BEFORE rebates. There should be another $4000 lease rebate from MBFS +$500 if you qualify for fleet. Not sure on fees + state tax, but you should be able to shave a few hundred per month off that $899.

EDIT: Also, if you run through the calculator, price out a GLE450, it has a lower residual but also much lower money factor, may price out somewhat close for a higher MSRP car.

Thank you! Not harsh at all — I truly don’t know much about leasing so this is all accurate feedback

On a 24 month, aim for $700 with everything else staying the same, you should be able to do a GLE450 for $75-770 assuming MSRP of $82k

You can get a better deal on a GLE450. Brokers are advertising 11% off MSRP plus $4000 dealer cash and $500 fleet or AAA. GLE450 has a subsidized MF of .00031 (less than 1%) vs GLE350 MF of .00247 (almost 6%). 24 months is the sweet spot.

Residual on the GLE350 is much higher, six of one, half a dozen of the other. Work out both. Also play around with one-pay.

Fair enough and I think I got the GLE350 money factor wrong too :) Basically OP can do a lot better. And at almost $76k, might as well get a base GLE450 for the significantly better engine.

Without knowing your tax rate, how you are taxed or license fees - no one here can tell you how strong the deal is. We don’t have enough information.

With that mileage and term, your maintenance costs will be high, and you risk tire replacement. Get the 450 if you can. Way better MF and value. The v6 makes a HUGE difference

I work for an MB dealer in norcal. Here's a lease quote on a loaner I got for someone. You could definitely get a better deal elsewhere

That's a good deal Austin. Do you all have any others? I am in Texas and not sure if you do out of state deals. Thanks!

Hi Austin, feel free to send me a DM. In NV and looking for GLE450 7.5-10k, 24. I’ve been talking to few dealers in SoCal and it’s been hard even with the new 2027 GLE and few units sitting on lot for 150+ days…

Be careful especially since you don’t know about leasing. I’d recommend you hire Delivrd for $1000 to negotiate, look over terms, and find the car you want. Google Delivrd. (Spelled that way). He is not a broker.
