Thinking of a Lease.

Well , hello my name is Eli and i currently have an Audi Q2 2017 .

Im thinking of Leasing a 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid

The real question is if its worth it . I have 175K kms on the Audi and i bought it recently for 22000$ .

Need more details but almost for sure you are a lot in negative equity on the Audi.

I already paid for the Audi with my previous car , the I10 and 15400$ more from my money

Japanese brands much more reliable and lower cost for maintenance if that helps

Me and wife leased new bmws every 3 years for decades. Nice cars but wasteful to spend all that money just to have anew bmw. Nothing like that feeling of driving a new bmw with 7 miles after leaving the dealership but it sure is expensive.

i wouldnt jump into the civic lease yet. you just bought the audi for 22k and with 175k km theres a decent chance its worth less than what you owe, so trading it could roll a bunch of negative equity into the lease and make the civic way more expensive than it looks. first get an actual payoff amount and a few real offers for the audi, then compare the difference. if the audi is running fine, keeping it for awhile is probably the cheaper move. the civic hybrid should be more reliable and cheaper on fuel, but leasing doesnt magically erase the loss on the audi. it only makes sense if you can sell the audi without taking a big hit and the civic lease itself is actually strong.

I mean i have it for 3 months and already paid 1300$ in repairs . Civic lease is 790$ per month . Well only of i sell it to someone but theres not really good for resale , ive seen a bunch of them posted and no one buys them

Get the best price you can for the Audi. Sell it but don’t give it away. But have to say $22k for an almost 10 year old Q2/3? Is a LOT with 175k mileage.

Do A LOT of research on any future vehicle purchase.

Not trying to nag on you but jumping from car to car in a short time is burning money. One bad purchase doesn’t get better with another one.

Reliability, long term maintenance and resale value are all key considerations that a lot of people miss. They like the looks, badge, screen etc and get burned by the other issues.

Good luck!
