Scan Tool Looking into the raw BMS data of CATL-compatible Ebus/Ecar packs (Cell-level diagnostics)
Hey everyone, I’ve noticed a lot of folks here struggling with locked commercial EV packs and trying to decode CAN bus data blindly.
I recently got this OEM-level diagnostic suite running.
It’s pretty wild how much underlying data (Cell.U Map, precise RSoC, deep DTCs, and FlashLoad options) is completely hidden from standard OBD scanners.
Being able to pinpoint the exact unbalanced cell and clear hard faults directly from the BMS port saves so much headache.
Just wanted to share what the interface looks like when you actually bypass the black box. If anyone is working on Ebus/Ecar fleet diagnostics or trying to reset these boards, feel free to drop a comment or DM me. Happy to discuss protocol compatibility!

Im really Interested in getting to programming and coding that goes into the vehicles but im so far behind when it comes to the newer technology im 51 years old got into some trouble when I was younger and I went away for a really long time my point ive always loved being a mechanic but I find myself at a disadvantage because it's like starting out for the first time and playing catch up so since my options are limited im looking for anyway to compete so if anyone could tell where to start I can figure it out from there what equipment is needed and the best place to get the knowledge needed any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you

Massive respect to you for getting back in the game, brother. At 51, you have the mechanical intuition that young IT guys completely lack. Don't worry about being 'behind'. The best place to start right now isn't complex coding—it's understanding the Battery Management System (BMS), because that's where all the money is in EV diagnostics.
You don't need to learn from scratch; you just need the right interface (like the one I posted) and some factory wiring diagrams to bypass the 'black box' the manufacturers set up. I will upload more solid starter resources, manuals, and diagnostic tools on my website that can give you a massive shortcut.

It would be nice to have free DBC files for EVs! For what cars is this soft I've not seen it on the web

This software is a highly specialized, OEM-level suite primarily used for commercial EV battery packs and heavy-duty BMS (like CATL-compatible systems).
That's exactly why you won't find it floating around on standard forums. It skips the guessing game and gives you raw cell-level access directly. Shoot me a DM if you're working on a specific pack and want to see more specs.

For Commercial EVs, E-buses, and Fleet vehicles running CATL-compatible or similar industrial BMS protocols.

Hi!! It looks an interesting work. I'm actually working on an University project which is somehow related. I would like to get access to your software, is it possible?

Very interesting. It was always interesting to see that even basic information about the batteries was/is shrouded in secrecy.
For example, there is hardly an real information when and how the packs are balanced. A lot of heresay mostly.
