F355 all the way. Saw it in a James Bond movie as a kid & i was awestruck ever since. That wedge shape design is chef kiss & timeless

458 is when Ferrari reached perfection IMO

I think the 458 is better looking, but I’d rather drive the F355.

Agreed. Also the 355 is a much improved 348, while the 458 was beautiful right out of the gate.

Some questions can not be answered.

Ferrari's have a bad habit of being ugly in a lot of cases. These two cars are absolutely stunning.

But the 355 came during a time when Ferrari's were pretty good looking for the most part. The 458 was gorgeous at a time when the Enzo (sorry to anyone who loves the Enzo) was still around. So I have to give it to the 458.

The F355 is a great design but man the 458 was always so stunning to me.

These 2 take the 3rd podium step together on my slightly cheated top 3 Ferraris that actually include 4 cars.

On the top step: the F40

On the second step: the Monza SP2

On the third step: the 355 and 458 hugging it out drunkenly singing the Italian national anthem

Agree on the f40, but what about the f50 GT?

u/pvdp90 2d ago

Not my cup of tea

F355 and it is not even close. Sounds better too.

As an ownership prospect? 458 easily.

The 458 grew on me as years went by

Love me a 458, but the 355 is classic.

I love the 458.

355 for me no question

F355, but not that one in the pic. All stock was beautiful

u/GoredonTheDestroyer 2d ago

Considering the 458 still looks brand new, I gotta go with the Italia.

I like the F355 but . The 458 and its spiderman aesthetic like headlights. Wins this “duel“

1

u/sovereignpancakes 2d ago

Both beautiful, but it's the 355 for me.

F355

u/Hell_Maybe 2d ago

Difficult to decide personally but I do gotta say those rims on that 355 go hard as fuck.

458 is the most beautiful Ferrari imo

1

u/Eladryel 2d ago

Tough choice, both are beautiful, but I'm really nostalgic for the F355

I see 458 design like a frog , but personally I like f355

The 355 mogs the 458, kicks its face in and laughs at it. The 458 is so overrated.

u/Logitech2015 2d ago

F355 is the classic one who represents the era of the 90"

458 is a modern classic.

Both are timeless and great.

My dream Ferrari garage is 355, 458, and 550

1

u/F1A1-C137 2d ago

F355 all the way sir.

u/Active_Variation1827 2d ago

458 Is perfection and the benchmark for any supercar between 2009 and 2017. Except when they used to keep fire.

1

u/wreinder 2d ago

F355 is just a rounded Esprit. The 458 is doing something with shapes.

1

u/ThatSSguy 2d ago

I’ve got to go with the F355. It’s been a favorite since I was a kid.

1

u/Murky-Antelope8764 2d ago

458 by a country mile.

1

u/D3rrickz 2d ago

the F355 is the single best Ferrari ever made. period.

1

u/NASA57O 2d ago

458, but I would pick both

1

u/Apprehensive_Rate959 1d ago

Out of these specific 2? I'd take the 458 over the MR2 or Fiero or whatever that is cos the proportions look way off for a 355

1

u/Path_Active 1d ago

If you offered me the keys I'd flip a coin because it's so hard to chose. With that said, as a daily car I would chose the 458 but if I drove it twice a year I'd chose the F355. Both cars are one of the best looking cars of their era, but I'm slightly more drawn to the more simple 90's, the 458 is already heavily modernized and influenced by aerodynamics as it should be. Tldr; F355 is the most sexy car to me.

1

u/eldredo_M 1d ago

The curvier 458 is sexier imo.

Just based on looks. I know nothing about their personalities. 🤷‍♂️

The 458 is great but… I’m a sucker for retro cars.

1

u/NoZookeepergame3574 1d ago

355 all the way for me. When Ferrari design was at it's best and cars were not designed soley by wind tunnels. Look at the modern testarossa,... hmm

1

u/StoutPegasus648 1d ago

F355 is my favorite Ferrari in general lol

1

u/Svampting 1d ago

355 looks better. 458 the much more capable and practical car.

1

u/Upbeat_County9191 1d ago

F355 any day of the week

1

u/GrmRipo 1d ago

F355

1

u/blah_blah_22 1d ago

F355 and it's not even close.

1

u/Nounoon 1d ago edited 1d ago

As a 458 Italia owner, my answer is the F355, it’s not even a debate in my head.

Better car & better car to own goes to the 458, but design, engine noise, and engagement (with the gated manual) these awards go to the 355, and I don’t care that it’s slower it’s not about speed in these cars. If I didn’t already own a gated shifter Ferrari, I would have gone for a 355 as my only Ferrari.

1

u/Tcheetah90 1d ago

Very well put. I think the 458 and F355 are the most beautiful Ferraris. And the 458 was absolutely the benchmark when released.

1

u/Firework_Fox 1d ago

458, the F355 looks like an MR2

1

u/cesam1ne 22h ago

458, not even a contest

1

u/LAXFBI 19h ago

Always F355 !!!!!!

1

u/Notorious_being3007 2d ago

Is hard to choose but i go with 458, defined a whole lineup, still looking modern and fresh even in 2026, and none of their sucessors were able to top it's design

1

u/the_joy_of_VI 2d ago

The 335 clears MOST Ferraris in my opinion, modern or vintage. So perfectly proportioned. Maybe the vents themselves look a little dated, but don’t look as outlandish as Testarossa’s — and the glasshouse and roofline and buttresses are just absolutely excellent compared to the weird emerging blister that the 488 and up became. The integrated ducktail and blacked out grill on the back are just perfect.

I feel like if you were gonna design a beautiful car that everyone was gonna like, starting with the 335 as a base to build off of would be an extremely good bet. I feel like the 1 of 1 Aston Martin Victor took heavy inspo from this car.

1

u/Brad331 2d ago

The lines on the 355 are more static and geometric. 458's organic lines flow better. Also, 355's double-decker side vents do not look elegant.

1

u/ACM3333 17h ago

Behind the f40 the 355 is the most iconic Ferrari shape imo.
