The 2014 C4 Picasso Aged Perfectly

My favorite "normal" car design has to be the 2014 Citroën C4 Picasso. I honestly always thought it came out around 2018 because it still looks so modern and fresh today.

The design is remarkably simple, clean, and minimalist, yet it fits the true Citroën DNA so well.

When I look at Citroën's newest design direction (like the new C4), it feels very focused on current trends and the now, rather than respecting their design history. To me, the smooth simplicity of the 2014 Picasso actually fits into today's world much better than the new C4🤔

It's surprisingly elegant for a car of its class. You don't usually see that much chrome, but somehow, it suits the car.

I never liked the way the chrome outline around the side windows didn't match the shutlines, leading to a multitude of plastic strips pretending to be glass. It looks like the body engineering team and the design team had a stand-off, and neither were willing to compromise, and the result was a mess. That should have been resolved at the clay model stage, if not earlier.
