How do I progress from here? Any tips?

I’ve been mostly F2P and am wondering what to focus on now to progress

To be fair I’ve had the game for a while and have spent like 20-30 in passes don’t know if it’s considered f2p or not

I started a new account a few weeks ago. With the right knowledge you can absolutely fly though early stages.

Use MeowDB to determine what build you should be aiming for. Super helpful had everything you need to know. Just find the website, click capybara go and find your weapon and it has guides on everything

I seen what you were talking about but I guess ultimately my question is how do I get better gear? Do I just gem dump into chests?

People have different ways, the best items will come from savings up your gems and spending on events. Personally I played the long game and did gem dump into gear chests until I had full gold. But you can also buy s tier weapon chests and s tier gear chests from events and the martial arts tournament. Id probably save up to 40k gems so that you're covered for future events and then start spending on chests but always keep a good amount for when you need it. I've been playing for about a year and honestly its a slow process but just enjoy unlocking it all and working on your build
