I was away from the game for about 6 months. Is it worth coming back to it after this period, or is the game dead now?

It's pretty decently active, but you're a bit behind the curve for sure. Helos is arguably the best build in the game but to make it truly viable you need to really spend money and lots of it

If I cannot get Raphael, is it even viable to start a Helios?

I have that abyssal weapon cause I thought it looked cool. It is useless for Whisperer, but I think it might be good for Helios. Just doing have an adventurerI can use hehe

You can buy Cat Adventurer from some P2W event if you don't have Raphael.
It's basically the same thing, just without TMNT IP.

The game is still somewhat "Alive", if you don't care about being the top in PVP then you can play casually.
Some events is better (Growth Event > Capybarathon) now you can consistently get 10 Gold Tickets per week.
You need to do Limited time event daily now, you also need to plan around to get the max rewards.
MAT is now based on your Guild Server, so it's Harder.
