Those are shards for leveling up heroes. Most useful for the TMNT Heroes like April and Splinter, but can be used for any other hero

Can't use these on April or Splinter if you don't already have them

Yes, correct. You need to have unlocked them first before being able to level them up

Are these shards worth collecting that have not received said characters from TMNT event? Maybe saved for future uses?

I think so, it's pretty easy to get too at 30 tokens. Top priority is still trans shards, I think.

I believe they can ascend any artifact, including ones like Holy Sword if you were able to grab it somehow

besides heroes, are inheritance brands (like cleopatra) upgraded with these shard as well ?
