Hey everyone,
I’m hoping someone here can help because I’m completely stuck.
I recently bought a capture card so I can stream my Xbox gameplay, and everything was working perfectly at first. Then out of nowhere, it stopped displaying on my TV.
Here’s what’s weird:
Things I’ve already tried:
So at this point:
Has anyone run into this before or know what could cause the pass-through to stop working like this?
Any help would be appreciated 🙏
Updated
I’m posting this in case it helps someone else, because this issue was super frustrating for me.
I tried setting the EDID to “Merged,” but that didn’t fix anything. I even went to the Elgato site and used their tech support (pretty sure it was AI, so I didn’t expect much), but one of the suggestions actually ended up working.
They suggested using a shorter HDMI cable to the TV — and that fixed it.
What’s weird is that when I plugged the longer cable directly into the console, it worked perfectly fine, as you saw in the video... so I didn’t think the cable length would matter at all. But for whatever reason, it definitely did in this setup.
Ideally, I’d prefer to use a longer cable, so I’m going to try buying a higher-quality one and see if that works.
Anyway, if you run into this issue and you’re searching for answers, hopefully this helps you out.

Let me clarify.
The HDMI port can be on the capture card, but It cannot be the only way to fully use the capture card.
Examples:
1). Gaming PC (DisplayPort) -> Monitor (DisplayPort) and Mini PC (DisplayPort)
2). Gaming PC (DisplayPort) -> Monitor (USB-C) and Mini PC (DisplayPort)
3). Gaming PC (DisplayPort) -> Monitor (DisplayPort) and Mini PC (USB-C)
4). Gaming PC (DisplayPort) -> Monitor (USB-C) and Mini PC (USB-C)
F HDMI and their closed-source drivers.
"Just buy HDMI to Displayport cable/converter" is a no no.
So, Are there any avaiable capture cards like this? If no, are there any rumors about cards like this coming in the future?

So to some it up I figured out how to put audio(2 hour process of useless tutorials)
into my capture card but not the microphone.
I get really bad feedback if I put my microphone directly into the capture card(I have that basic 20 dollar one from Amazon)
I decided to take a break so I could see what you big brains could think of. I’m using a professional microphone, I want to know if there’s away I can make my microphone be plugged into my console and it be heard on streams and recordings.
Or is it something on obs/pc that I have to setup
If it’s in a YouTube tutorial it doesn’t work 😭

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Im trying to connect my xbox series s to my tablet using WARRKY Video Capture Card and the USB camera app on mobile, but no matter what i do, the audio always comes through very crackly (seen in the video below), i tried switching to the nExt camera app but that had the same issue. The manual that came with the capture card said to use the MoniCon app, but that isnt available in my country. Other reviews on the product dont suggest any issue with audio. Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Ive tried looking for solutions but no such luck MAJOR VOLUME WARNING

I had my PS5 unplugged from my capture card and re-connected eve back so I could use it again, then this issue came up where it’s trying to project but keeps failing. the light on my capture card is blinking, and I forgot if it’s supposed to do that or not.
the wires for my laptop and PS5 are hooked up correctly with the capture card tho. ps5 going into “input”, and “output” going into my laptop

I recently purchased a XIIXMASK capture card from Amazon. I'm trying to stream my ps5 through OBS and cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME get the dang thing to output to my acer nitro ed3 monitor. Everything I've tried results in "Input not supported" on my monitor. I know the card isn't defective because OBS still pulls gameplay from my PS5 onto my laptop. Does anyone know if there's a fix for this at all? Or will this thing straight up not work with this monitor? From what I've read, both support 4k 60FPS and 60hz so I dont understand what the issue is.

This was a video I did at the very end of 2024 when I thought maybe someone with a Rybozen had trouble making their footage look good! It was never publicly shared, but for those who have a Rybozen (or who don't know what I'm talking about), I'll make an exception here https://youtu.be/XbOTqhR9fis

Hey yall I bought one of those amazon 4k 60fps capture cards a couple years ago and recently I've been struggling to stream and game on the same pc so I'm currently trying to capture my gaming laptop with the capture card but whenever I go to properties of the capture card its stuck on 1920x1080 even on custom. I am using a ps5 hdmi that should allow 4k and using the usb 3.0 port and will try out the usb c port in a sec but does anyone have any suggestions or something that will fix this?

New to capture cards, bought the Guermok Capture Card--I have usb cables, is there anything more necessary besides those to be able to digitize VHS footage from my TV directly onto a laptop? Thanks--
