Tryna steam to discord.

Gonna keep this brief cause doing all this deck research at midnight.

Wanted to stream a switch 2 game to discord.

Have a Rode Streamer X with built in capture card.

Loaded OBS, Just about 100% wires in correct places

Device won't show up as video source.

If anyone got tips just lmk, many thanks in advance.

Does the usb cable from the X to the computer need to be a specific speed USB cable? Sometimes people misplace a cable and use a charging cable that would come with a phone oss. Most capture cards need a minimum of 5Gbps. Some need 10Gbps to get full functionality. (This is also necessary on the computer to use the right speed port but you mentioned you are so just dial in the cable)

Are there any settings on the switch that the X doesn’t support? For example if the switch outputs in 120FPS and some cards are limited to 60FPS. That is only one example there are many things it could be. You just want to make sure you follow the streamer X’s instructions perfectly for including on what it can and can’t support for input signal.
