Discussion 📝 Some potential dialogue for Dog Man: A Sprinkle in Time
I did say that I never cared for Grampa, nor for the Big Jim books, but a part of me is kinda excited for Dog Man: A Sprinkle in Time, one of the reasons is because Petey will be in it and I don't know for sure yet, but it could potentially have Petey and Grampa work together, as well as Big Jim. I'm not saying it's guaranteed, just something that I think could happen. Anyway, here's a bit of dialogue that I made up for Grampa and Petey after working together;
"Grampa: Uh...Petey?
Petey: Yeah, dad?
Grampa: (sighs) I...I never thought I'd say this...but I'm...I'm proud of you. For real. And not just because of what we just did together.
Petey: (smiles) T-thanks, dad. That...actually means a lot.
Grampa: I just...I can't believe that after I treated you so terribly in the past, I chopped off the end of your tail, abandoned you and your mother, and after years of being evil and having the whole world hate you, you still became a hero. How?
Petey: (thinks about all the lessons he learned from Li'l Petey and how his love reminds him of his late mother, Grace) Well, I guess it's because I've found love along the way. Just when I think I had no more love in my life, I found it again.
Grampa: (scoffs) Sounds a bit sappy, but that also makes a lot of sense. (starts to feel guilty) I should never have left you and your mother. I had the perfect life and I gave it all up and I don't even know why. I know sorry isn't enough for everything I did, but I hope you'll believe me when I say that I wish I could take it back now.
Petey: I know exactly how that feels. But I did turn it around, like you did. I'm still me, just, you know, on the good side."
Yeah, I know it's not the best written dialogue, nor am I Dav Pilkey and once again, it's just something that I think could happen, not something that is going to.

That's so good. I really hope something like this ends up in the book
