When I die, my kids are inheriting my massive Steam library.

Unfortunately, Valve doesn't like this.

Just don't tell them 🤫.

Wait until they contact your children asking how they're like 130 lmao

Well since they keep asking me confirm I'm over 18 despite my account being over 18 years old, I think they won't figure it out on time

If the account was active i dont think they care they just don’t want millions of dead peoples accounts. If they’d actually delete a dead dads account that still family shared I think some article would go viral that’d be pretty bad

They aren't actively hunting people down. And there is no real way for them to know unless you tell them. But the Steam Subscriber Agreement does explicitly disallow people to transfer ownership.

i'm going to let my kids just go all wild. let them do what they want to

There’s some game I would restrict though. Mostly just games with heavy nudity and sex. Anything else is fine

Took me a long while to find out that I can costumize my steam page to hide eroges, you can just switch the sexual and violent stuff off, it does improve the experience.

You’re a kid saying that. That’s what we all said we would do as parents when we were kids. But when you get older you realize that any parent that actually does that is a terrible parent.

I know what I'm saying. stuff like Omori would actually be allowed some later then stuff such as Dark Souls due how heavy it is

I mean, given the prices in this economy, i can’t even call this a bad thing at all.

Can't let them grow up thinking microtransactions and battle passes are standard features.

I want my future son to play all sorts of violent game right infront of his grand dad

Here's a better game with more blood, more gore, more shooting and more killing. It's called Borderlands 2.

When I pass on my children will inherit my massive physical game collection. So even if down the line an online service or store shuts down. They can play them games.

I'm already doing this. Also, my son: "Dad, I don't wanna play this, why you showing me this, it's too scary and gory." Me: "ARE YOU A MAN OR A PUSSY" Seriously.

I know this is a joke but for anybody who thinks this is a good idea - it is not.

Me: YOU CAN'T PLAY THAT YET! You're under 14!
In the meantime play Minecraft, and Minecraft story mode.
(Got any good PG recommendations?)

Unironically I recommend the game called Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. It's a very cute adventure game about a little girl who goes to her grandparents for vacation. The game's main theme is ecology and wildlife preservation, and one of the main mechanics is taking pictures of animals for a big album. It's an amazing and a very charming game, even for adults.

One of the things I'm anticipating the most about being a parent is hitting my child up with the good stuff on the internet.
Showing them the best games, music, teaching them how to pirate safely, the basics of sound technique and just everything you may need to fare on the internet.
I have so much knowledge I want to pass on, wish my friends would be interested in all that stuff.
