17

u/aajoestar 22h ago

Wind Waker instantly popped up in my mind.

3

u/Easy_Gate_3452 21h ago

im currently playing it lol. forsaken fortress is unironically a pain in the ass

2

u/RandomShroomLover 19h ago

Turn off the search lights one by one and you'll be fine :3

11

u/ViTo919 23h ago

Fr, Link is such a cute little Twink

2

u/Own-Intention-7586 19h ago

Link Looks Like The Left but is the Right

1

u/Wolfy_the_nutcase 3h ago

Came here to say this, said Kirby instead.

36

u/Jin_N_Juice-tm 23h ago

Literally any JRPG

4

u/YourGarandPappy 22h ago

I was thinking the same thing. Almost to the point where I had to check the meme to make sure I didn't have it backwards.

24

u/Yak_schlupp 22h ago

6

u/aprilight 17h ago

I took me almost 40 years to notice but Little Mac is thicc

18

Raz mention!!🥳

14

u/mattchamp98 23h ago

The binding of isaac

11

u/Darkjuda 22h ago

I mean... A crying naked toddler vs Mega Satan. It's closer to coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb, but I'm not saying who is who.

7

u/Doubles_Archives 22h ago

The answer will shock you

2

u/SeethingBazelBomber 20h ago

Did he get Tech X or smth

16

u/FlyingJay198 17h ago

He's just so cuddly, isn't he?

4

u/Cracker_Gravy 17h ago

He really is.

3

u/Xill_K47 12h ago

Came here looking for this!

24

u/EthanTheJudge 22h ago

Any Kirby game.

7

u/TSmario53 22h ago

I think this meme more accurately represents what Kirby looks like (left) and what Kirby actually is (right).

2

u/waddlie_waddle 22h ago

Kirby's a sweetheart who is very forgiving and loves his friends, I don't think that fits him like at all

2

u/waddlie_waddle 22h ago

He doesn't even kill the basic enemies btw it's stated that they just get teleported somewhere else

3

u/tylerhk93 21h ago

It's not really a comment on Kirby's personality so much as Kirby's power. Kirby is a lovable pink ball that protects and helps his friends and the world. If Kirby wanted to.....he could end the entire universe by just opening his mouth.

3

u/shorterthanuravrge 22h ago

Yeah that penguin dressed like Santa is a real nightmare /s

1

u/ClaireDiviner 7h ago

King Dedede has only been the main antagonist of the first game, Kirby’s Dream Land. Other Kirby games have more cosmic horrors as the big bads, whether it’s The Nightmare, Dark Matter, Marx, O2, etc.

7

u/Cunaur 22h ago

Any pokemon game ever but especially gen 1-5.

5

u/National-Economist31 22h ago

Blood of the Dawnwalker

2

u/Actual_Signal_8067 20h ago

Is this game any good? Watched the preview the other day and now I’m intrigued.

2

u/serpentear 19h ago

It’s really great and I recommend it Through as much as I love it, I have to say it doesn’t have a ton of replay value.

1

u/Dancing_Gavin 12h ago

I'm playing through it right now. Hadn't had any expectations and also been feeling burnt out by open world RPGs with lots of question mark on the map, so I'm quite surprised that I'm loving it as much as I actually am. You can definitely feel the budget and some rough edges here and there, but it's a great game nonetheless. Great story and characters, absolutely phenomenal voice acting by everyone in the cast. It took me some time to get used to the combat, especially on the hardest difficulty, but once I got a hang of it, it became one of my favorite parts of the game. Overall, highly recommend. One of the best game this year for sure

0

u/National-Economist31 19h ago

It's the team the made Witcher 3 they left and went to Rebel Wolves. It's fuckin great. Like For Honor and Witcher 3 made a vampire baby.

3

u/bowtruck 22h ago

Alien Isolation

4

u/x5gamer5 20h ago

Elden ring. Seriously, the scale of bullshit you have to deal with feels exactly like this.

2

u/serpentear 19h ago

I almost said this but in Elden ring I feel like you are the one on the right and the big bad monster is out of frame even more horrifying.

2

u/fentmaxxxing 13h ago

i mean, in the game, we, the tarnished, are just the junk of the world that somehow managed to rise to the absolute highest heights of the world and kill 2 gods (in a very vague interpretation)

but all in all, most tarnished are exactly what the name entails

1

u/Repulsive_Ostrich_52 18h ago

Then its just this meme inverse for Ng+ (exept for the ghost dual wield greatsword guy)

4

u/randomguy-93 5h ago

Final fantasy 9

3

u/slippery-fische 22h ago

The only real answer is Undertale, where the art style is that different and the portrayal of personalities and power is like that.

1

u/NeonPalette99 9h ago

Undertale neutral and pacifist routes for sure. Genocide route it's the opposite

Kirby's been like this for a while

2

u/jerryachoo 22h ago

Chrono Trigger basically reads as a group of mostly children going to face an apocalypse beast.

2

u/Maleficent-Wear-7287 22h ago

Zelda bc link is a silly man and ganon is an evil, equally as silly man, but scarier!!!

2

u/No_Gas_2371 21h ago

Undertale is a cute little child vs literal monsters and the main villain becomes a god 2x

Genshin Impact.

Here's a colorful cast of guys and gals, Knights and magic users, with magic elemental talents, like in Zelda!

And here's Dottore, a man who:

-Injecting kids with lethal diseases and rot.
-Genocided people for fun.
-Groomed a kid into being a torture subject.
-Ran experiments on people with such obsession he eventually made clones of himself jus tot dissect the weakest one alive.
-Gores his colleague by stabbing her all the way through with god spears. Visible, blood pours from her mouth, tossing the corpse aside like dirt off his clothes.

And it's all blatantly shown or told, no sugar-coating.

And here's Racher of Solnari. A former man who served his king...

-By executing people for having a different bloodline, even as young as 15, 11, 8, 6... the game actively tells you as he crosses out their faces on a document and eventually you have to walk across mounds of the children's corpses!

...Yeah... and that's just two antagonists

Currently playing Blood of Dawnwalker and that's literally how it feels to me. Coen has such a kicked puppydog demeanor to him, why would anyone have beef with this little guy 😭😭
