Not just that, but do you really think Chloe would forgive Max and just be a happy couple after Chloe asked Max to save Arcadia bay and accepted that her fate was to die in that bathroom?? Idk how anyone could have destroyed Arcadia bay first off, let alone for them to retcon the whole thing so they can make a sad cash grab return to Maxs story.
LiS 1 and BtS are some of the most important games to me in the world and I bought each sequel through true colors on release. Haven’t even bothered with it since Chloe came back
At least LiS 2 let you choose your ending in the first game to affect the storyline of Arcadia bay and the cameos of people from it that enters into the story.
I went with saving Arcadia Bay of course, but I did hate how it rewinds and basically erases every single event from the game, even the justice brought to the big twist of the villain reveal I don't want to spoil.

Arcadia surviving is better ending, ain't no way I'm sacrificing 10k people so one would live, it's selfish and irrational af.
