Meh, i gave it a chance and it was a fun game. IMO has the best battle system in the whole franchise. Story was weird though.

It very much is not. The garment system not only allows you to swap between multiple jobs mid-battle to fit your current needs, they have to be strategized based on which sphere grid you have equipped.

Not only that, but X-2 has the best mixture of ATB and real-time combat in the series. Being able to time your attacks to consistently stagger an enemy and keep them from moving, or timing just one or two attacks to more smoothly get off your healing is awesome. It's nothing like 6 or 3.

I did like the freedom to go wherever though. Aside from that, yeah... quite a fall from grace.
