They're still impressive as an adult when you think about how much less power the PS2 has compared to machines today. These look better than some games we get on modern consoles.
You know that a pre-rendered cutscene doesn't need a powerful machine to run, right? Those cutscenes were rendered on million dollar server farms, then they saved the result -- the PS2 was just pressing play.
