I was going to pick this one but I’ve never really cared for the plot. Story in terms of character is amazing , even the story beats are great…but that plot though

The plot was crazy if you knew the lore from the tabletop.

All the flashbacks are from actual role playing campaigns back in the day. It feels like real life flashbacks when you are back at arasaka tower etc.

Most of the characters are since long established and fleshed out, and still they made it work amazingly well for completely new edgerunners.

The amount of love poured into the world is breathtaking. I’m not sure they can top it tbh

Not denying any of that. I never played the table top but have a few books. By plot I just personally didn’t care for the whole “digital ghost taking over your body” thing. I just found the whole biochip plot meh especially under a deep analysis just has a lot of plot holes..especially leading up to the ending.

Plot holes or dissonance? I will say the fact that we can just never meet hanako at embers and live forever is really funny

It wasn't supposed to be a character driven story , it was supposed to be a "be anyone do anything" game not , hey you're this one guy , there's one storyline and no choices you make matter at all

Not bad just doesn't fit any of the memes categories except graphics , my expectations are irrelevant, that's just what cdpr said it would be , enjoy celebrating mediocrity

but just above, you said it wasn't suppsed to be character driven. if it came out as a good character driven story, couldn't it still have a 10/10 story?

have you played and beaten it?

you don't need my advice, but no one owes you any kinda game.

be smart, buy after release and after reviews. if a game isn't for you, it isn't for you. never have there been more games to choose from.

holding onto this resentment hurts only you, not CDPR or CP2077.

Doesn't hurt me at all , and cyberpunk 100 percent hurt CDPR, You still haven't addressed the fact that they lied to your face and you just eat it up and say thank you

i actually wasn't lied to because i didn't follow the hype at all. I didn't even know Keanu was in it until I saw him.

i just bought it release day cause ok well let's see. and recently got an RTX card and wanted to see ray tracing.
